The Café Frohsinn is a really nice and cosy coffee shop with a light and bright atmosphere and homemade pastries ranging from tarts like chocolate, chestnut, and coffee cream with a meringue as well as all kinds of cakes. The delicacies offered here are very delicious and look that way as well. It is sensible that the products are home-made and comes from the heart. The staff is very friendly and willing to help and there are many plugs to charge your devices here at the Café Frohsinn. This coffee shop’s name ‘Frohsinn’ corresponds with my basic mood, since the German term ‘Frohsinn’ is ‘glee’ or ‘cheerfulness’. So here at this cheerful café, everything seems to be in balance and at the right place, and its location in the lovely neighborhood of Geidorf with its many well-restored buildings from the late decades of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire around the turn of the century, makes it easy to reach from most parts of the city. And if coffee, cakes and tarts is not your thing, you also can have some snacks such as toasts and the like here at the Café Frohsinn.
So, although I mentioned it before, it is quite hard to find a good combination of nice atmosphere to have a seat in and a variety of delicious home-made pastries, tarts and cakes, the Café Frohsinn simply makes it happen.
I had a Café Verlängerter and a slice of the home-made Linzertorte, by the way quite a famous product in Austria and beyond, with a portion of whipped cream. What a great combination!

The Bottom Line: The Café Frohsinn, located in the Theodor-Körner-Straße 60, 8010 Graz, is one of these jewels of the Austrian Coffeehouse Culture. You get here everything what your heart is longing for when it comes to Austrian pastries, and all delicacies are homemade here.
