The Kunst Haus Café Graz is a stylish and fancy coffee shop, no need to say that it is artsy.
Here at the Art House Graz Coffee Shop you can soak up the most of the art of Graz, since it is adjunct to the Art House Graz. So expect to see all the art loving folks here, amidst all the books.
The music is good and with lots of drive, but unfortunately the acoustic isn’t that great, which results in quite a noise pollution due to the music and the chatter building up. And the wooden chairs are really comfortable to sit on for a longer stretch of time.
Having open Sundays to Thursdays until 23:00 (11 pm) and Fridays and Saturdays even till 01:00 (am), the opening hours of the Kunst Haus Café are great. They do have free WiFi as well as plugs for charging your devices.
The waiters don’t let you wait, the staff is friendly and helpful and the showcase should give you an impression of what you’ll get while your stay at the Art House Graz Coffee Shop, which reaches from all kinds of quiches, breakfast, burgers, toasts, sandwiches, cakes, and tarts. Have a look at what’s inside the showcase:
And the apricot cake is super-delicious:
The coffee & cake: This is what I got…an apricot cake with a cappuccino
The close-up, this time with one bite less…well, I simply couldn’t resist:
Below you see the view onto the Kunst Haus Graz shot from Lovers Lane (as I want to put it, given all the love locks) on the Murbrücke, the main bridge of Graz over the river Mur, connecting the two sides of the city.
What a view! The Kunst Haus Graz shining in different formations, creating interesting constellations. Btw the Kunst Haus Graz is called “friendly alien” for a reason…
The Bottom Line: The Kunst Haus Café, located in Südtirolerplatz 2, in 8020 Graz, is despite the bad acoustics, a great coffee shop with stylish interior, lots of artsy atmosphere, good food, coffee and desserts for reasonable prices. The Kunst Haus Café represents the art hotspot of the scene. Get on the scene! as James Brown has put it.
